i know you’re supossed to tune it every time it is moved…

and i would have to guess it hasnt been tuned since i’ve been alive… so 15 years…

sad i know :(
and it has been moved a few times… so it is in pretty bad shape

but i am really sick of using my electric keyboard so i want to get it tuned

any help would be amazing!

Seattle area, 52″ upright, 1997 model, Kohler & Campbell, always been in climate controlled room and in great condition despite never being tuned.

I’m not asking how often I SHOULD, I know how often I should… But I’m more wondering how often you tune yours?

Mine sat in a storage until for about 12 years until I bought it and moved it in to my home. To my shock it was still almost in tune and didn’t require a drop tune.

Anyway, I’ve been slacking on the tunes and am considering waiting until spring to tune it again.

How long do you go between tunes?
Holy crow!!!! 54 and 86??? And I thought I was slacking.

I have no idea how long mine went without being tuned before it ended up in the storage unit. There was no service card. But I think it was well cared for because it belonged to a music teacher.

I bought my piano in 2001 or 2002 (I can’t remember) and i’ve haven’t had it tuned once because it’s mostly for decoration and i’m not a hard core player. But, I was just wanting to play it and i have no idea if it’s in tune or not, I don’t really care, but several of the keys don’t make any noise when i press them. Can this be fixed? How much would it probably cost to fix the keys and tune it maybe?

Can I buy my own piano tuning kit and tune my own piano?

I know they exist but I’m confused on what exactly I would need or not need. Do they come with instructions or are they tools that only a professional would know how to use? Obviously I’m clueless and would appreciate ANY info on this subject.
